About WizGot

Storyteller. Creator. Builder of worlds.

Behind the Chaos

Behind the Chaos

I’m WizGot — storyteller, world builder, and occasional chaos engineer.

My real name is Lilleaas, but “WizGot” tends to stick better — and honestly, it fits the work.

I’ve spent more than 40 years creating stories. It started with telling tales to my kids at bedtime — mostly because they refused to sleep. Over time, those stories evolved into something bigger: books, characters, and entire worlds shaped by conflict, humor, and a fair amount of controlled chaos.

My writing lives somewhere between grit and sarcasm.
Think Vikings, bad decisions, sharp dialogue, and characters who are far from perfect — but impossible to ignore.

I don’t write about flawless heroes.
I write about:

  • idiots with good hearts
  • drunks with terrible plans
  • and people who somehow survive both

The kind of characters that make you think:
This is going to go wrong… and I want to see how.”

From Story to Sound

Over time, my storytelling evolved beyond books.

Through my YouTube channel, The Whimsical Publishing, I create cinematic, dark, and powerful music inspired by the same worlds I’ve been building for decades.

It’s not just music —
it’s atmosphere, tension, and story brought to life through sound.

Everything I create is connected.

Through The Whimsical Publishing, I bring these worlds to life — through both writing and music.

Because stories don’t just belong on paper.
They should be felt.

What I’m working on right now

Right now, I’m not locked into a single story.

I’ve got ideas — a lot of them.

Worlds, characters, fragments of chaos waiting to turn into something real.

But I don’t force it.

After more than 40 years of writing, I’ve learned that the best stories don’t come from pressure — they come from timing. From letting the right idea grow until it’s impossible to ignore.

So this is the phase I’m in:

Building. Testing. Exploring.

Some ideas lean into Viking chaos.

Others drift into darker, stranger territory.

And a few are just waiting for the right moment to become something bigger.

At the same time, I continue shaping these worlds through music on The Whimsical Publishing— giving sound to ideas before they become stories.

Because sometimes, the atmosphere comes first.

The story follows.

This isn’t a pause.
It’s preparation.

Behind the Chaos

Writing isn’t peaceful. It never has been.

It’s me, a cup of coffee that’s already gone cold, and a laptop that’s constantly one bad sentence away from being thrown out the window.

I don’t sit in a quiet cabin by a lake, waiting for inspiration to arrive.

I sit surrounded by notes, empty mugs, half-formed ideas, and the constant pressure of turning chaos into something that actually works.

Because that’s what writing really is.

Taking something messy — and shaping it into a story.

People often ask, “Where do you get your ideas?”

I don’t go looking for them.
They show up when they want.

One moment everything is quiet.
The next, a Viking is arguing in my head about dialogue, strategy, or why the beer isn’t good enough.

That’s the chaos.

And after more than 40 years of writing, I’ve learned something important:

It never really goes away.

You just get better at working with it.

So this is my process:

Coffee.
Swearing.
Writing.
Rewriting.

And doing it all over again — until something finally works.

Because somewhere inside that chaos…
there’s always a story worth telling.
